Dit jaar werken we in “dorpen” om u toe te laten specifiek naar uw noden een bezoek te plannen.
In de vorige mail kreeg u een oppervlakkig overzicht, hieronder vindt u meer detail aangaande bepaalde topics.
DORP “Big Sensor”
Door de ontwikkeling van een complete lijn van large sensor camera’s door diverse fabrikanten is een nieuwe wereld opengegaan. Maar... wat is nu precies een large sensor camera en wat betekent al die nieuwe terminologie zoals PL-mount, SSD, Micro Four Third, EF-mount, crop-factor enz...
Om het bos door de bomen te kunnen zien stellen we u een unieke full shoot-out voor gaande van de NEX-FS100, AG-AF101, PMW-F3, Canon5D, Arri Allexa tot de nieuwe Sony F65 (komst nog te bevestigen).
De ontwikkeling van deze camera’s hebben ook geleid tot de komst van opnametoestellen in compact formaat, AJA KiPro en KiPro Mini, Gemini, Sounddevices PIX240, NextoDI, HDCAM SR Memory compact recorder SR-R1
Ook het aspect verlichting en de benodigde accesoires komen ruim aan bod.
Om dit alles in goede banen te leiden wordt dit dorp permanent bemand met productspecialisten en cameramensen.
DORP “XDCAM”
Het XDCAM-formaat heeft zich ontwikkeld tot de standaard in opname voor zowel ENG als EFP-toepassingen en bijgevolg als werkformaat binnen de Productie-en Post-Productiehuizen en de Regionale en Nationale Broadcasters.
In dit dorp begeleidt door Christian Branteghem, European Product Specialist Sony, kan u kennis maken met het volledige gamma camera’s en recorders.
Als nieuwigheden, de PDW-U2 USB 3.0 disc unit en de XDS-serverdecks, deze laatste kunnen zowel als klassiek VTR en/of als server gebruikt worden.
Verder XM-Pilot, deze software metadata tool legt de “missing” link tussen planning, productie en opname.
DORP “Audio”
Gezien we binnenkort een regering zouden moeten hebben wordt de vraag : “welke frequentierange voor draadloze audiotoepassingen “ terug actueel.
Om antwoord te geven op deze vraag kan u terecht bij zowel Sennheiser als Sony, tegelijk maakt u kennis met hun oplossingen.

3. Experience the “waitless” workflow :
With AMA (Avid Media Access), you can instantly access and edit file-based media—including :

4. Open for business :
Media Composer is now fully open thanks to Avid Open I/O, so you can work with your choice of Avid audio and video interfaces or third-party video interfaces, including those from AJA, Blackmagic Design, Bluefish444, Matrox, and MOTU. Manufacturers can simply create plug-ins using Avid Open I/O to have their hardware work with Media Composer, meaning you’ll have even more choices to come.
5. Work with 3D :
Edit stereoscopic 3D material as quickly and easily as you do with standard 2D footage, with a full set of new features and workflows. Capture, edit, and manage the complete 3D end-to-end workflow. Zoals hierboven vermeldt kan u dus externe video hardware gebruiken voor uw Avid software. Op onze dagen kan u kennis maken met de AJA hardware. Hierbij het officiele persbericht van AJA.

IO XT :
Single Cable Thunderbolt Connectivity
Io XT connects to your Mac with a single Thunderbolt cable and provides a second Thunderbolt connector for daisy-chaining other Thunderbolt-enabled devices, such as storage, making it perfect for on set, or in the edit suite.
Compact, portable and powerful, it's loaded with high-end features including 3G/Dual-link/HD/SD-SDI, Component Analog, and HDMI connectivity. AJA's industry-proven OS X software and drivers connect the hardware to extensive codec and media support.
Pair Io XT with a MacBook Pro and Thunderbolt-based storage solution and you've got a no-compromise, fast editing system -portable enough to fit in a backpack.
AJA Quality Conversion
Io XT features full 10-bit, broadcast-quality, motion-adaptive SD to HD up-conversion, HD to HD cross-conversion, HD to SD down-conversion, and automatic HD/SD 12-bit component analog output. Since all conversion functionality on the Io XT is hardware-based, it's available all the time on ingest or playback.
Uniquely, the Io XT can cross-convert 720p 23.98 to 1080PsF 23.98. Cross-conversion is particularly valuable in today's multi-format HD post environment where producing pristine 720p or 1080i signals at-will helps streamline dailies and deliverables.
Connectivity
For SDI digital video, Io XT features two 3G/HD/SD-SDI inputs and two outputs, plus HDMI 1.3 input and HDMI 1.4a output-including support for 3D. Also included are component/composite output, LTC or Reference input, LTC output, 8 channels of embedded digital audio I/O and 8 channels of analog audio output.
For professional machine control, Io XT has a 9-pin RS422 connector. If you're using a Digital Betacam, DVCPro50, HDCAM, DVCPRO HD, D5, or HDCAM SR VTR-or any other professional device–you'll have the proper connections.
Dual link and 4:4:4 HD support
Io XT supports single link 3G 4:4:4 and dual link 4:4:4 HD-SDI, with full bandwidth 4:4:4 RGB at 10-bits for 1080i, 1080p, 1080PsF and 720p formats. Io XT can even convert between 4:4:4 and 4:2:2 formats for single link HD-SDI monitoring and output.
